The Story Behind The Story of The Infamous Dr. Spankenstien

After leaving the army, Patrick enrolled in Christopher Newport University in his hometown of Newport News, VA. While he was a senior in the Applied Physics (Engineering) program he became a regular guest on local WROX- FM 96X morning show with shock jocks Perry Stone and Pasquale Giovani. After spontaneously participating in a spanking demo, Patrick made up the name Dr. Spankenstien on the spot and was invited to return by hosts Stone and Giovani for further mayhen. Dr. Spankenstien was mentioned in William H. McMichael’s column RADAR in the conservative newspaper The Daily Press in November 1994.

Suspension performance at Virginia Beach Club in 1997

While doing a demo at Virginia Beach Club in 1997 undercover cops in the audience called in reinforcements. Eight squad cars showed up to arrest Patrick (the arrest warrant for lewd and disorderly conduct in a place that serves alcohol was made out to Doctor Spankenstien!) While Patrick concedes that this form of non-sexual BDSM performance art can be construed as lewd by some people “it wasn’t disorderly!” Patrick and his wife (Mistress Rebecca who was his demo model for the performance) were fully intent on fighting for the right to express their consensual BDSM play in a semi-private setting for adults. While they had to expend a few thousand dollars in various legal fees, the case was dropped. This was Patrick’s token getting arrested for being kinky experience.

While Patrick eventually left the Dr. Spankenstien personae behind to work for ultra conservative big defense contractors, he remained recognized for his role as the infamous Doctor for many years.
